Day 277

October 6, 2009
Today we listened to general conference. I am so grateful for a prophet in our church and am very appreciative that we are able to hear him speak to us so often.

I spent most of conference weekend -- in my happy place -- sewing and quilting!

Day 274

October 3, 2009

A.J. was eating a popsicle and said "look it is a penguin" If you look real close you can kinda see it! This kid loves penguins!

Day 273

October 2, 2009

A.J. has not had an accident for 1 week. Hooray for our big boy! It looks like he is thinking "mom, hurry up and take the picture - this is so not cool!" Look at his cute crossed feet!

Day 272

October 1, 2009

Em loves to eat banana bread. I am so glad to know she actually does know how to eat!

Day 271

September 30, 2009

We had our first snow storm today. I am pretty sure that I am not ready for winter!

Day 270

September 29, 2009

A.J. got some Lincoln Logs for his birthday. He has had a great time building cabins, corrals, and parking lots for his garbage trucks!

Day 269

September 28, 2009

I spent way too much money at the grocery store today. I have a love/hate relationship with the case lot sale at the grocery store. I love having all the food in my storage room but hate paying for it.

Day 268

September 27, 2009

I had a photo shoot today and I was so happy to actually catch this picture!

Day 267

September 26, 2009

Grandma and Grandpa came up to celebrate A.J.'s birthday and the kids wouldn't let Grandpa get away with not cooking crepes.

Day 266

September 25, 2009

A.J. went bowling with a couple of his friends for his birthday. We had so much fun - and A.J. was thrilled with his birthday party!

Day 265

September 24, 2009

Do you know how hard it is to make red frosting - what about black? I had a hard time making this cake - but A.J. didn't know that it was covered in pinkish and gray frosting.

Day 264

September 23, 2009

My buddy is 3 today. I am sure crazy about this kid. I often joke that he has two modes- asleep and crazy!!

Day 263

September 22, 2009

Here is my last night of A.J. being 2. He was born at 10:32 in the morning - so he is almost 3. Yes he is on the couch - he was too cute to move before taking a picture. Look at those cute little lips!

Day 262

September 21, 2009

Em's class had a field trip today. They had a giant pig at the farm and I wanted to try to get a picture of Em with the pig so you could really tell how big the pig was - Em was not impressed - giant pig or not!

Day 261

September 20, 2009

I assume this will be one of our last strawberry harvests. They sure have grown well for us.

Day 260

September 19, 2009

Today was a canning day for tomatoes.

Day 259

September 18, 2009

Today I caught my first glimpse of fall!

Day 258

September 17, 2009

This is how my little football fan spends most of the games. Freezing and cheering for the braves!

Day 256

September 16, 2009

Today I did chicken. My friend Sade taught me how to can chicken and my family really eats it well. Hooray for something that Em will actually eat -- and like!

Day 255

September 14, 2009

Today was pears!

Day 254

September 14, 2009

I canned peaches today. It was the first time I have ever done it. I am sure happy to have a full storage room! I canned some white peaches as well as regular peaches. They both taste really yummy!

Day 253

September 13, 2009

This is what time the clock said when we walked in the house from our date yesterday. Apparently I need to clean my microwave as well!

Day 252

September 12, 2009

How crazy is am armadillo for a mascot??

Joe planned a date for us today. We went to the Rocky Mountain Rumble in Pocatello. Joe was in heaven - he had shrimp for lunch and then a ridiculous amount of good high school football. Me, well - I pretty much loved the day as well. We ate out, I spent the day with my favorite guy, and I had popcorn and ice cream to help me make it through all the games!

Day 251

September 11, 2009

Tonight was Joe's first home football game. They won!

Day 250

September 10, 2009

I am not sure that it is possible to be more in love with this kid!

Day 249

September 9, 2009
The kids were so happy today to make something with our zucchini. I was surprised with how well they liked zucchini bread.

Day 248

September 8, 2009

When we were on our hike this hawk was flying around by us and the kids thought it was so cool to be above the bird looking down on it. Joe and I also thought it was pretty cool.

Day 247

September 7, 2009
Joe took our family on a "little" hike to see Swift Creek Lake. It was quite a hike and we were super proud of our kiddos for walking as much as they did.

Day 246

September 6, 2009

Em and her cousin Whitnee are great friends. They are 1 month apart in age and in the same class this year for kindergarten.

Day 245

September 5, 2009

Ava and Em had a great time coloring at the football game.

Day 244

September 4, 2009

A.J. was more interested in the sprinkler pipes today than Joe's football game. I am very grateful that it never turned on.

Day 243

September 3, 2009

I tend a little baby named Ryan and a girl named Ava. Luckily they are both good kids to tend. A.J. even warmed up to Ryan a little bit today!

Day 242

September 2, 2009

The storytime theme for this year is Dr. Suess. Today we talked about Cat in the Hat.

Day 241

September 1, 2009

A.J. is crazy about penguins. I am not sure how this love developed - but it did. The ladies at the library know of A.J.'s love for penguins so when one of them saw a stuffed penguin at a yard sale she bought it for buddy. He was so happy to have a daddy for his penguin family!

Day 240

August 31, 2009
Em is a great gardener. She planted the row of carrots and everytime she wants a snack - she knows exactly where to go.
