A.J.'s first trip to the dentist. The dentist asked him to open his mouth like a tiger and A.J. replied - "I don't want to open my mouth like a tiger - but I do want to open my mouth like a crocodile!" No cavities and the dentist said he had a great smile - which I would have to agree!

Em's last day of preschool was today. She has loved preschool and I wish she was going again next year but apparently she is growing up and will be entering kindergarten!

We had a dump truck come and deliver some topsoil for our garden. A.J. thought it was the best day ever. He kept telling me "Mom, this is awesome!" I made the mistake of teling him in the morning that a dump truck would be coming to our house - so when I tried to get him to take a nap he kept saying "I am going to miss the dump truck!" and was so heartbroken - so guess who got out of a nap?

We have been working on putting in a garden in our backyard. We had a gravel path that we took out and dumped in the driveway. Pretty soon we had quite a few neighborhood kids helping us rake the piles of rocks. They had fun and we loved having the help!

We are trying to get rid of our rocks and make a garden in our backyard. The kids enjoyed moving the rocks. I tell you - my A.J. is easily entertained - give him a cup and a pile of rocks he is happy for hours!

Em had a field trip for her preschool today. We went to her teachers' sheep farm. A.J. got to come with us and we had lots of fun. A.J. was in heaven animals and dirt everywhere! Em really enjoyed seeing all of the baby animals -imagine Em liking babies!

I think that I am surely being replaced. Whenever A.J. is sad he wants Emmalee. She is a great sister to him and will stop whatever she is doing to comfort him. One more reason I am not sure what I am going to do without her when she goes to kindergarten. I can just picture me walking into school with a crying buddy and explaining to the teacher that he doesn't want me - he needs his sister!

Hello, my name is A.J. and I am a hot dog addict! A.J. wakes up in the morning asking for a hot dog - I always say that he can't eat them for breakfast so he needs to wait until lunch - so he asks about every 3 minutes all morning long "mom, is it lunch yet?"

This is my niece Aubree - she and A.J. are about 5 months apart. Photo courtesy of Emmalee. Em took the picture and then said - "'oh, it is so hard to shoot little kids - they never look at the camera long enough!" I wonder if she has heard that said before?

Em's dance group performed at the care center today. Most of the kids were more intrigued by the huge fish tank in the corner. Em had a good time dancing for them and I think the residents enjoyed watching the kids dance.

I tried to get some pictures of my kids together today. I realized why I only have pictures of them seperate - it is impossible to get a good looking together picture! I thought this one was cute but Joe said it looks like an engagement picture.

Joe went camping/fishing this weekend is rained on him so we have all kinds of fishing/camping stuff drying out in our house. I was not as pleased as A.J. was to have a tent set up in my basement!

Today was our nephew Brads' birthday. We had a fun birthday party at Zack and Tyresha's. The kids loved being outside - it isn't warm enough most days for us to be outside at our house yet.
